These are the ONLY POSTS I could salvage from my STOP the TERROR website on posterous.com which they deleted without warning, without cause, and without explanation around the end of November, 2012 (posterous was bought out by twitter, and now posterous is closing at the end of April, 2013). Sha on posterous and/or twitter for their unscrupulous actions against my account and various websites. They deleted all but one, www.HearingTheWord.posterous.com .
Nonetheless, I will persevere and continue to do my small part in the war against terror by staying updated on what is happening to decent people, and especially Christians as well, around the world, in the na of terror, jihad, etc. Terror comes in all shapes and forms by the way; it is not just about radical Muslims plane-bombing the World Trade Center.
It’s also about gangsters being bullies (to put it mildly), or even “civil terrorism” in so cases whereby large corporations use their clout unscrupulously to keep good people down and out. Nonetheless, most of the posts here are about the terror we all beca aware of 9/11 in New York City. The War against terror continues, and Benghazi was another wake-up call accordingly, or should have been. We will never forget the cowardly actions of 9/11, but we must also play our part to try to prevent such things in the future. I myself come from an evangelical Christian background and believe in preventative steps… bringing the truth of the Gospel to the world.
However, the gospel will not always be kindly received or believed or may increase anger towards so of us. Nonetheless, we as Christians do NOT believe in recanting our faith in order to appease those who don’t want to hear it. That would be acquiescing to “bullying” of sorts and Christ did NOT acquiesce to bullies, nor do we as followers of Christ.
Yes, we “turn the other cheek”, and we stand strong even if they threaten us and/or kill us. And we take appropriate steps and actions of self-defense, especially to protect won, children, and the defenseless, even if it means we must kill to protect even if we don’t take killing lightly; albeit we live by the Spirit more than the sword. We trust in the Holy Spirit more than guns and tanks, but we are thankful for the freedom defenders as well and back them up .
And we believe in the power of prayer, and the importance of prayer, and so we pray about these various scenarious and situations, past & present, and ask for God’s wisdom & guidance in leading us to do what is right in response to terror around the world and here in our own country.
